The Mission of the Richton Park Herald is:

1) To act as a central site for an online events calendar for our villages.

2) To give non-profit organizations a no cost internet presence by posting information about their organizations including events, fundraisers and meetings.

3) To help local businesses reach out to village residents through the Home Owner Association Discount Program whereby members of HOAs are given a discount card to these participating local businesses. Getting members to join their local Home Owner Association promotes community spirit and cohesion. The discount card acts as an enticement to join. The more merchants particpating in this program will make this program an even bigger enticement for someone to join their HOA. This program will help keep our shopping dollars close to home and help businesses build a loyal customer base close to home. A win-win situation for the businesses and the HOAs.

4) To provide our residents with a more local hands on approach to news concerning our villages. We want residents to submit articles and information about what concerns them.

5) To act as a low cost clearing house for people who have something to sell. From a house or a car to an old bike or golf bag.

6) To promote the economic development of the region by posting any land or property that villages own and want to sell, and we'll do it for free!

By working to obatin these goals, the Richton Park Herald hopes to bring Residents, Businesses and Village Governments closer together by building better lines of communication, and providing programs that promote local businesses and shopping locally.
